IT Systems Analyst/AdministratorLocation: Wayne, NJSchedule: 4 days onsite, 1 day remote, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMType: Contract (potential for direct hire)Position Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated IT Systems Analyst/Administrator to join our team. This individual will support both operations and administrative staff, focusing on maintaining desktop and server systems, supporting networks, and ensuring smooth IT operations in a manufacturing and corporate environment. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical expertise and leadership skills, with the ability to problem-solve independently and work effectively in ambiguous situations.Key Responsibilities:System Administration: Manage and maintain Windows and Linux servers, including hardware, operating systems, and virtual environments.User Support: Provide help desk support, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and manage user accounts (Active Directory and group administration).Network and Security: Oversee network hardware, backups, and patching. Implement and monitor security measures, including remediation of vulnerability scans.Documentation and Process Management: Develop and maintain technical documentation, create shell scripts, and streamline IT processes.Manufacturing Support: Provide technical support for manufacturing OT environments, including CAD and MES applications.Collaboration: Communicate effectively with internal customers, engineers, and global IT teams to address IT needs promptly.Top Skills:Windows hardware and software troubleshootingActive Directory administration and group policy managementIn-depth experience with server and workstation hardware maintenancePreferred Skills:Compliance-focused and detail-orientedCalm and composed under pressure, with strong problem-solving abilitiesFamiliarity with manufacturing environments and shop floor applicationsTechnical Requirements:Expert-level experience with Windows Server (2016 or greater) and VMware ESXi (7 or higher)Proficiency in Linux administration and command-line scripting (Red Hat or similar distributions)Hands-on experience with backup solutions like Veeam or VeritasProficiency with Microsoft 365, SQL Server, and ExchangeFamiliarity with networking technologies (VLANs, Cisco IOS, firewall setup, etc.)Qualifications:8-10 years of IT experience, preferably in manufacturing environmentsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)Certifications such as MCSE or CompTIA Server+ are a plusSoft Skills:Strong leadership and independent problem-solving abilitiesAdvanced customer service skills and excellent communicationAbility to handle ambiguous situations and adapt to changing prioritiesThis role offers a collaborative, professional environment in a corporate office and manufacturing setting.
