A school in the Bronx is currently seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join their team.About the Opportunity:Start Date: ASAPAssignment Length: Ongoing (Contract to Hire)Schedule: 2 days per weekHours: 8am to 3pmPatient Population: Students (Ages 2 to 8)Responsibilities:The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will:Provide students with speech therapy sessions in accordance with the IEP mandateImplement treatment plan as part of therapeutic intervention in the area of speech and language developmentUtilize standardized tests as well as clinical observations to assess students' progress toward meeting the IEP goals and prepare written quarterly and annual reportsCollaborate with other Clinicians and the Teaching team to ensure efficient targeting students' IEP goalsAttend and complete required school meetings, training, and professional developmentCommunicate with parents to establish and support the efficient collaborationAssess students' strengths and deficits and prepare written quarterly, Turning 5, and annual reportsPerform initial preschool language skill screeningProvide consultation to classroom staff in the area of speech and languageQualifications:NYS Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) licenseExperience with language-impaired childrenDesired Skills:Experience working with Special Needs studentsExperience working within a SchoolBilingual (English and Spanish)
