A full-service corporate law firm is seeking a Word Processor to join their team in their New York office. The ideal candidate will have experience with MS office and Adobe or Foxit PDF, preferably with 5+ years of experience in a law firm setting.Salary$85K - $95K Hours12pm - 8pmOn-Site5 days a weekResponsibilitiesWork closely with attorneys to format, proofread, and edit legal documents, including briefs, memos, and motions.Collaborate with the administrative team to support document preparation and formatting needs.Review documents for grammatical accuracy, spelling, and proper formatting.Assist in converting PDFs to Word and ensure documents maintain their intended layout.Generate tables of contents, authorities, and create/edit charts in Word and Excel.Troubleshoot technical issues with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF software.Redact documents, apply Bates numbering, and manage document versions using PDF software.Perform mail merges, create legal presentations, and assist with special projects as needed.RequirementsMinimum 5 years of experience in a professional services setting; law firm experience preferred.High School diploma.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and PDF software.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.Able to work independently with minimal supervision and a proactive attitude.Ability to learn new software and tools as needed.
