Position: Controls Engineer (IIOT)Duration: 1 year contract with possible extensionsLocation: Dearborn, MITravel: 70% travel to plants within North AmericaCompensation: $40-$48/hrExact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.Must Haves:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or3 years of experience in Constraint Management and Factory Information SystemsStrong experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, SharePoint, Word)Day to Day:One of our automotive clients is looking for an IIOT (Industrial Internet of Things) Engineer. The engineer in this position would act as a liaison within the Controls organization to coordinate all controls and factory information system updates.Additional responsibilities in this role include:Coordinate and manage updates to FIS properties for New Model ProgramsEnsuring FIS is aligned with each plant's simulation modelGlobal FIS planning and costing supportReview/Approve all FIS pilotsLead FIS reviews with Plant ME Managers and DIS AdministratorsConstraint Management:Assist with developing and interpreting executive throughput packagesMaintain and update productivity operating process/constraint managementMaintain Productivity Operating Process SharePointFactory Information System:Evaluate program assumptions and provide FIS cost estimates for new model program cost studiesNew Process Control Board RequirementsProcess Control Boards at end of Useful LifeNew Tooling and Conveyor AssetsRebalance ConfigurationsAsset RevalidationProvide IT with initial estimate of drop counts, assent counts, and server countsDevelop initial SOW for FIS Integrators & FIS Launch Managers with a complete list of assets (tooling & conveyor)Provide FAE input and signoff of all FIS specification revisionsMaintain and publish specifications for Process Control BoardsInterface with IT on updates to IT FIS standards
