The Technician - Structured Cabling position assists in the planning and execution of Structured Cabling jobs. This position is critical in helping to assure that projects are completed safely, on time and on budget with the highest quality and customer service. Roles and ResponsibilitiesPerform all duties of an Apprentice and InstallerPeriodically perform duties as a Site Lead - Lead small projects or parts of projects as neededMaterial Pick Ticket RequestProject Execution/Productivity (Labor Time)Redline Drawing/LabelingSite Safety Compliance/PPEConstruction Meetings/Walk ThroughSite HousekeepingTest ResultsOnsite Work PermitsPunch Walk/List Generation (Substantial Completion)Daily Progress ReportsOJT ImplementationProject CommissioningBend, cut, thread and lay conduitTake accurate measurements for proper conduit bendingBe proficient in bending and installing RMC, IMC and EMT conduitBe proficient at operating a Power Pony, Hydraulic Bender, Foot Bender, Electric Bender and Foot BenderMaintain current industry knowledgeMaintain and demonstrate knowledge of network topologiesMaintain and demonstrate knowledge of codes and standardsReview blueprints or work orders to install, move, change, repair, or remove voice, data, video, and audio communications cables, copper and/or fiberPerform housekeeping duties as requiredAssist with material loading and off-loadingDrive on company business and assume responsibility of a company vehicle as needed and allowedRepresent NCS with professionalism and integrityPerform all assigned duties Safely adhering to the highest Quality standardsProvide the highest level of customer service with continuous communication (verbal and written)Perform all functions of the position and other duties that may be assigned
