Job Title: Commercial Security Service TechnicianLocation: 100% onsite in St. Charles, ILPay: $35/hourContract: 6 month contract to hireOverviewWe are seeking a skilled Commercial Security Service Technician with experience in servicing and programming commercial electronic security devices. This role primarily involves working with video systems, access control, IP cameras, intrusion detection, video analytics, IP network systems, and overall security systems.Must have Class 1 Electrical Work CertificationSkills and AbilitiesExperienceMinimum of 2+ years in servicing and programming commercial access control, IP-based video systems, and intrusion alarm systems.TroubleshootingAt least 2 years of experience in troubleshooting and programming networked access control and IP video systems, including working on customer networks.Alternative ExperienceExperience as a multi-site Network Support Specialist or similar role is acceptable.Remote SupportAbility to support customer systems via remote diagnostics with professionalism.Networking KnowledgeEssential knowledge and practical experience with the internet and networking.IndependenceAbility to work independently and resolve problems to customer satisfaction.Driving LicenseMust possess a valid driving license and a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).ResponsibilitiesSystem ServicingService, troubleshoot, program, and test enterprise security systems with minimal supervision. Preferred knowledge of access control, IP video surveillance, intrusion, and visitor management systems.Networked SystemsTroubleshoot and program networked IP video systems and access control devices.Intrusion SystemsService commercial intrusion alarm systems and other IoT connected systems.ProfessionalismMaintain detailed, structured, and timely work practices.Documentation and CommunicationUnderstand the importance of thorough documentation and clear communication.Customer ServiceProvide exceptional customer service when interacting with clients.EducationMinimum RequirementHigh School diploma or GED.PreferredElectronics training from a Technical School or Military training in electronics or communications.
