Energy Engineer

Job Title: Energy EngineerLocation: New York City, NYRole: Hybrid (Candidate must be located or willing to relocate to the NYC metro area)What You'll Do:Lead detailed, hands-on energy assessments (aligned with ASHRAE Level III standards) for large facilities, including hospitals, universities, and municipal buildings.Develop and tailor energy conservation calculations for custom solutions, working closely with design teams to ensure alignment with client goals.Provide technical guidance to design engineers to implement long-term energy efficiency strategies.Track and report project progress to ensure timelines and budgets are met.Analyze energy data and compile comprehensive reports that translate technical findings into actionable recommendations.Take the initiative to shape project outcomes by collaborating with internal teams and directly influencing design decisions.What We're Looking For:A keen ability to analyze HVAC systems, understanding their operations and energy impact.Strong foundation in building systems, backed by a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics, Renewable & Clean Energy Engineering, or a related field.Proficiency in using MS Office tools (Excel, Word, and Outlook).Experience reading and interpreting building plans and blueprints.Preferred Experience:• Hands-on experience with ASHRAE Level I, II, and III energy audits.• Proven ability to conduct energy analyses using utility data and create detailed reports.• Familiarity with commissioning processes.• Expertise in large commercial, hospital, or institutional spaces.
