Diamond Procurement Associate

Frank Darling is a rapidly expanding Fine Jewelry brand that specializes in custom engagement rings. We have a large online presence as well as in-person showrooms located in NY, SF, DC, Chicago and LA. We are looking for a Diamond Procurement Associate to join our growing team with the potential to grow into a full time role. This position requires an efficient and detail-oriented candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is analytical, and is excellent at multi-tasking.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Communicate professionally and effectively with suppliersMaintain gemology email inbox and respond to suppliers in a timely fashion with updatesAssist the procurement team in memoing and processing stonesProcess sold stonesPrep diamonds for client appointmentsProvide stone updates to suppliersEscalate credit issues to the returns teamRequirements and Experience:Proper diamond and gemstone vocabulary.Excellent communication skillsTeam-oriented and able to get along with a diverse group of individuals.Ability to communicate professionally, multi-task, and solve problems.Familiar with both lab and natural diamonds.Ability to read and understand diamond and gemstone certificates from various labs.Proficient computer skills (excel, online search databases)Attention to detailStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to multitaskExcel skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environmentThe Fine Print:On-site role located in NYPreferred but not required: Graduate Gemologist from the GIA (recent graduates can apply)Performance-based bonusStartup cultureEquity + salary roleHealth benefits for full-time employeesUnlimited vacation policyProfessional references.Valid form of ID.Candidate must be able to work in-office.Vaccination required
