Our brands include Digiday, Glossy, Modern Retail and WorkLife.We are hiring an Event Manager to join our growing events team. The Event Manager should have 3-5 years of event management experience, a love for all things events, provide outstanding customer service, be an enthusiastic professional, and be able to build relationships with customers. Specific requirements include project management on a variety of event types, including conferences, seminars, award shows and special events.Please include your salary requirements in your cover letter.ResponsibilitiesMaintain regular communication with clientsManage sponsor's deliverables pre event, on-site and post eventBasic meeting planning including venue selection, contract negotiationCoordinate A/V and general technology needs for each eventEnsure that customer satisfaction remains a top priority.Propose new ideas to improve the event planning and implementation processAssist with managing on-site production and clean-up for events as necessaryCoordinate and monitor event timelines and ensure deadlines are metInitiate, coordinate and/or participate in all efforts to promote eventOther duties as assignedTravel requiredQualifications:3-5 years of experience working on corporate events, including venue selection, contract negotiation, general event managementProject management on a variety of event types, including conferences, seminars, award shows and special events.Strong organizational skillsExcellent communication skills, including writing, proof-reading skills, and speakingAbility to manage multiple projects and work assignments Excellent interpersonal skills both in person and by phone, with high professionalismAbility to accomplish projects with little supervisionStrong record of customer servicey of the role, what success in the position looks like, and how this role fits into the organization overall.Responsibilities[Be specific when describing each of the responsibilities.
