Parts Measurement Specialist

We are currently seeking four Measurement Specialists to join our team on a long-term contract basis. Position is based in Chattanooga with major automotive employer.3+ Years of Measuring Technology experience, automotive background preferred.Education and Skills Requirement:Technical degree or equivalent experience.Experience with 3D-Measurement Equipment (e.g. Zeiss, DEA, Brown and Sharp, Stiefelmayer...)Experience with Measurement Software (e.g. Metrology, DMIS, Calypso...)Understanding of Coordinate systems and AlignmentsJob Duties:Experience with 3D­ measurement equipment such as ZEISS, DEAExperience with evaluating and improving sheet metal single part and assembly qualityGood understanding of Statistical Tolerance AnalysisExcellent spatial abilitySolid understanding of technical drawings, specifications, functional dimensions etc.Communication skills - interpersonal, presentation and writtenProblem solving and implementation of corrective actions where necessaryAnalytical, innovative and conceptual thinking - using logic and reason, creative and strategic thinkingStrong understanding of Statistical Tolerance AnalysisCAD knowledge (Catia V5)Problem SolvingPreparing data filesCross checking measurement results for plausibilitySupporting the customers with evaluating the measurement resultsDiscussing measurement results with respective departments and suppliersEstablish presentations and reports for analysis and review of measurementsProvide accurate and detailed data for customers and in-house
