NYC Special and Progress Inspector

New Age Engineering PLLC is an engineering firm in New York City, specializing in commercial and multifamily projects. We are seeking a hard working NYC Special and Progress Inspector to join our team. The Special and Progress Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that all of our construction projects meet applicable NYC Construction Codes and Regulations. This individual will be responsible for inspecting construction sites, reviewing plans and drawings, and closing permits as needed.This position is available for remote work. However, the candidate must be located in the New York City area and able to travel to construction sites as needed.Key responsibilities:Inspect construction sites to ensure compliance with all applicable codes and regulations.Review plans and drawings for accuracy and compliance with regulations.Close permits for construction projects as needed.Maintain detailed records of inspections and permit issuance.Attend meetings with contractors, developers, and other stakeholders as needed.Communicate effectively with contractors and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure compliance.Fill out Special and Progress Inspection Reports and keep up to date records.Utilize our in-house app to conduct inspections and provide updated project status.Qualifications:2+ years of experience in construction inspection or a related field.Knowledge of NYC Building Codes and Regulations.Strong attention to detail and ability to review plans and drawings accurately.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and Salesforce.Ability to print and review hard copy documents.Applicant must be able to travel to Melville NY for orientation, team meetings and coordination at company discretion for first 6 months and a minimum of once a week during employment.At New Age Engineering PLLC, we are dedicated to excellence and strive to deliver the highest quality projects to our clients.
