The team is focused on creating immersive, compelling visuals and experiences for the evolving world of real-time, multi-platform entertainment.Evil Eye was founded by artists to work on high-profile, special projects while maintaining an emphasis on people and a positive, fun work culture.Unreal Pipeline ProgrammerEvil Eye Pictures is looking for a full-time programmer to contribute to the crucial tooling and pipeline systems needed for a new innovative project in Unreal Engine 5. The ideal candidate has some experience with blueprinting in Unreal Engine, can create custom blueprint nodes in C++, and is proficient in writing python scripts to automate repetitive and error-prone tasks.This position is an excellent opportunity to learn how a new innovative Unreal project is created from the ground up, with opportunities to collaborate with many talented senior artists, TDs, and programmers. With the candidate's enthusiastic collaboration, we aim to provide an environment for creating a broad foundational understanding of the realtime pipeline and workflow in Unreal Engine.Key Responsibilities:Excellent troubleshooting skillsFirst line of support for issues found by non-technical staffHelp triage issues and test fixesHelp design and implement tests to catch future issuesCreate custom tools for Unreal Engine to support needs of artists and TDsMaintain & monitor automated build system for Unreal projectsWhat we're looking for:3+ years working experience in Unreal EditorGood understanding of C++ and PythonExcellent communication skillsKeep notes of what could be betterCreate & improve documentationShare knowledge within the team to improve our productivityWorking knowledge of the Unreal build systemsBuilding editor from sourceCreating packaged buildsWorking knowledge of PerforceExperience with rapid prototyping and iterative developmentGood to have: Experience creating Utility Blueprints / Widgets in Unreal EditorExperience debugging Unreal Engine using Visual StudioExperience inspecting crash and profiling reportsExperience with automated build and test systemsExperience writing python scripts for DCCs like Maya, Blender, etcWorking knowledge of git / GitHubDesire to improve quality of life for fellow developers and teammatesThis is a full time position. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren't limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Evil Eye's benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).Base Pay Range $130k - $170k
