General Manager Aerospace & Defense(Greater Phoenix, Arizona)Our client is a global, contract manufacturing company, seeking to hire a General Manager for its expanding facility based in Greater Phoenix, Arizona. The company provides contract manufacturing services for multiple industries, including the Aerospace & Defense industry. Key Responsibilities§ Manage a large site (>200 employees) with an annual revenue of >$150M USD.§ Manage the site in a manner that reduces operating costs, increases revenues, and exceeds customer expectations.§ Pursue new customers and business expansions opportunities.§ Support corporate and senior staff in establishing policies and procedures and ensure implementation at the site. § Lead management and support staff in a collaborative environment to continuously improve site performance in velocity, quality, cost, and customer satisfaction.§ Provide leadership and direction in the site's Lean Sigma program to corporate goals and objectives to increase value stream transformation. Management Qualifications· Demonstrated leadership and people management skills including ability to effectively coach and mentor employees at all levels.· Enthusiastic and motivational communicator with multi-cultural experience.· Demonstrates effective customer interface skills. · Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills.· Solid financial understanding, risk analysis ability, relationship building and project management.Individual Qualifications§ Experience (> 10 years) in electronics manufacturing services (EMS).§ Experience in operations management in the Aerospace and/or Defense industry.§ Experience in contract manufacturing.Expertise in Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA).§ Six Sigma Black Belt certification. § Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or University. Master's Degree preferred.§ Extensive experience in developing customer relationships.§ Proficient and knowledgeable in all areas of manufacturing operation.§ Ability to influence at all levels within the organization.CompensationAn executive compensation program is being offered for this position (incl. salary, bonus, and long-term incentives).LocationGreater Phoenix, Arizona.
