Our employees actively shape solar innovations of tomorrow while adhering to the highest ethical operating standards.Job DescriptionSummary of PositionWe are looking for an innovative and experienced Training and Development Manager to lead our training initiatives within the renewable energy sector, specifically focusing on solar panel manufacturing. This role involves developing, delivering, and evaluating comprehensive training programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of our workforce in this rapidly evolving industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical training, instructional design, and familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS)Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesConduct annual training and development needs assessments to identify skill gaps and areas for improvement across teamsDevelop training and development programs and objectives that align with organizational goals and industry standardsCreate and implement training initiatives focused on tools and processes specific to solar panel manufacturing, including a "train the trainer" programAdminister spending against the departmental budget to ensure effective allocation of training resourcesObtain and/or develop effective training materials utilizing a variety of media, including user manuals, e-learning courses, and job aidsDevelop and deliver training programs on various tools and processes within the manufacturing environmentImplement a Learning Management System (LMS) to track training progress and report outcomesConduct hands-on training sessions in both classroom and virtual environments, emphasizing practical application in solar panel manufacturingAssess the training needs of different teams and customize training programs accordingly to ensure relevance and effectivenessCollaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training content remains current and aligned with industry best practicesEvaluate the effectiveness of training programs through participant feedback, assessments, and performance metrics; conduct follow-up studies to measure resultsProvide post-training support and troubleshooting for attendees to reinforce learning and address any challengesStay current with new technologies, tools, and trends in renewable energy to enhance training programs and methodologiesMaintain a centralized repository of training resources and materials for ongoing reference in solar panel manufacturingTrain and coach managers, supervisors, and others involved in employee development efforts to foster a culture of continuous learningPlan, organize, facilitate, and order supplies for employee development and training eventsDevelop and maintain organizational communications, such as intranet bulletin boards and newsletters, to keep employees informed about training and development events and resourcesModify training programs as needed based on feedback and evolving organizational needsWork effectively as a team member with other members of management and the HR staff to ensure cohesive employee development strategiesExemplify the desired culture and philosophies of the organization in all training initiativesQualificationsEducation and/or ExperienceBachelor's degree in business or a related field (or equivalent experience).Proven experience as a technical trainer, instructor, or in a similar technical role.Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.Ability to design training programs that cater to various learning styles and skill levels.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Willingness to travel for on-site training, if required.Preferred Skills:Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, AWS).Experience in instructional design or curriculum development.Familiarity with agile methodologies and training delivery within such frameworks.
