The successful candidate will be an integral part of our team, providing expertise in hydrography, marine surveying, and data processing. This role offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work in a multi-disciplinary environment, contributing to various projects that help shape the understanding of our marine environments on exciting eco-meaningful projects. The ideal candidate will be passionate about geosciences, possess strong technical skills, and have a keen eye for detail.Responsibilities Conduct hydrographic and marine surveys using single-beam and multi-beam echosounders. Operate and calibrate RTK and PPK systems and tide gauges to ensure the accuracy of data. Process, interpret, and present hydrographic data in a clear and concise manner. Read and interpret sound velocity and CTD profiles. Use GIS, GPS, and AutoCAD to create accurate and detailed cartographic products. Ensure all equipment is maintained and calibrated according to industry standards. Work closely with other team members and stakeholders to plan and execute survey operations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in hydrography, geomatics, and related fields. Comply with all safety and environmental regulations and practices.Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in Geosciences, Marine Science, Geomatics, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in hydrography, marine surveying, or a similar role. Proficient in the use of RTK, PPK, GIS, GPS, and AutoCAD. Experience with motion referencing and data processing. Knowledge of hydrographic data collection, calibration, and interpretation. Experience using hydrographic software, survey measurements, and hydrographic equipment. Ability to create and interpret bathymetric/topographic maps. Certified ACSM Hydrographer or Category A Hydrographer is a plus. Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) certification is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work in various weather conditions and remote locations. Commitment to safety and environmental stewardship. Senior Hydrographer - 10+ years of marine survey experience in the field of hydrographic surveying, both single-beam and multi-beam bathymetry. Field Hydrographer - two+ years of marine survey experience in the field of hydrographic surveying, both single-beam and multi-beam bathymetry.Interested in hearing more?
