RPO has partnered with blue chip visual artists, with products sold in renowned retailers and museums globally.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Merchandise Planner & Operations Coordinator at Rome Pays Off in New York, NY. The role entails tasks such as demand planning, inventory management, sales operations, and communication with various stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and optimal merchandise planning.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:Inventory Management· Collaborate with the production and design team to manage products costs structure in the ERP system, recording cost of goods and identifying duty rates (if applicable) and analyzing gross margins;· Monitor inventory levels, analyzing sell-through reports and proactively lead initiatives (e.g., reorders);· Maintain assortment plans, updating information and visual documentation to ensure accurate communication outwards to the wider business;· Input new products into the ERP system;· Process purchase orders through our ERP (Zedonk) then maintain and update through product lifecycle;Run reporting through the ERP system to understand and analyze gross margins, best sellers, · Support the Sales & Marketing Manager as needed.Production · Maintain pricing and production schedules in the ERP system for evergreen and bespoke products;Monitor development timelines, communicating to the team if deadlines are being met and products are on schedule;· Maintain records of all lab dips, strike-offs, preproduction samples/salesman samples/top of productions samples in development;· Support the production and design team as needed.Logistics · Coordinating and tracking shipment of all orders with vendors in Asia, Europe, and in the U.S.;· Reconciling factory packing lists against purchase orders and submitted invoices from vendors;· Reconciling warehouse receiving reports against vendor packing lists;· Understanding deliveries and coordinating consolidated ocean and air freight shipments;· Act as liaison with our freight forwarder;· Notify warehouse of all deliveries· Follow up all book in discrepancies with warehouse, suppliers & factories.· Maintain records for duties on all products;· Communicate regularly with CEO and rest of the team.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Business, Retail/Fashion Merchandising, or related field.2-3 years of experience in a similar role preferably in textiles or fashion accessories.Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Retail Math.Knowledge of Zedonk or another ERP/b2b wholesale platform (e.g. Joor, Nuorder, AIMS360) would be a plus.Strong analytical, creative problem-solving skills, and business acumen.Highly critical thinker that can make decisions with imperfect information.Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and in a structured way in order to prioritize to meet critical deadlines.Strong interest and passion in fashion and art businesses.
