Senior Prelitigation Paralegal - Personal Injury

Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced Pre-litigation Paralegal (Prelitigation Case Manager) to join our dynamic team, with the flexibility to work onsite at one of our NJ office locations in River Edge, Edison, Toms River, Paramus, or Ewing.This role involves managing a caseload of 100-120 personal injury cases from intake up to case settlement, ensuring excellent customer service through regular client communication, and independently handling various aspects of case management, including opening claims, conducting investigations, and maintaining accurate records in our CMS (i.e., Litify, Needles, etc.)If you have 10+ years of experience in prelitigation case management for personal injury cases, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively, we invite you to apply and become a vital part of our dedicated team.Key Responsibilities:Ability to manage all Pre-litigation Paralegal (aka Prelitigation Case Manager) duties for Personal Injury Cases - NJ and/or NYCaseload of 100-120 personal injury cases from intake stage until the case goes to settlement or litigation (Filing of the Complaint)30 days calls with clients regarding medical care, providers, notating and updating about their current treatment status - Provide excellent customer serviceCapable of independently reviewing cases, conducting investigations to gather necessary information for cases where initial claims are unsuccessful, and establishing No-Fault and Bodily Injury claims as required.Ability to open claims with insurance companiesKnowledge of No-Fault applications, filing of claims/procedures, deadlinesKnowledge of the processing of lost wage claimsKnowledge of retrieving police reportsKnowledge of personal injury threshold - Verbal, Zero, etc.Knowledge of Motor Vehicle Indemnification Corp proceduresAbility to set up property damage claimsAbility to obtain Property DeedsConduct Corporate Business search about premises liability claimsKnowledge of OPRA & FOIL requestsKnowledge of Personal Injury Statutes of Limitations -For NJ, and/or NY and/or PAAbility to accurately enter information in the Litify insurance tabs, & provider tabs about medical facilities and insurance info.Obtaining/documenting outstanding liens: medical liens, worker's compensation liens, etc.Update and maintain client information in the Litify databaseStrong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.Prioritize tasks effectively and consistently meet deadlinesQualifications:10+ years of experience as a Prelitigation Paralegal or Prelitigation Case Manager---handling Personal Injury casesHas previous experience handling a caseload of 100 case files or more, using a Case Management System, such as Litify, Needles, Clio, MyCase, etc.Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and consistently meet deadlines.Past Experience using a CMS (Case Management System) such as, Litify, Needles/NEOS, Clio, MyCase, File Vine.Paralegal Certification or Past Work Experience as a Prelitigation Case Manager or Prelitigation ParalegalBilingual proficiency is a plus, but not mandatoryAnnual salary is based upon the candidate's previous years of personal injury prelitigation experience. If you live too far of a commute from any of our NJ office locations, a hybrid or remote work schedule will be considered.
