Success Profile:The Senior Technical Designer is responsible for ensuring that design vision is translated into a well-constructed and manufacturable garment that reflects brand's esthetics and design integrity. As a member of the Technical Design team, you will conduct fit sessions, communicate fit session to vendors, G-III global offices and work cross-functionally to ensure accuracy of garment measurements, fit, construction details and flow of information while addressing any technical challenges during the development and production process.ResponsibilitiesMeasure garments and organize for fittingsCoordinate fit schedule and conduct fittingsCreate initial spec to final full graded specConsult with designer to work on complicated garment construction and establish the fit for each brandInput in Tech packs with corrections / comments during fittingCreate and manage Work In Progress reportsCoordinate the production / delivery schedule weekly and coordinate fitting and fit samples accordinglyEmail / follow-up as needed with over-seas vendorsOrganize and maintain seasonal trim card libraryRequirements:4 Year College Degree: Preferred with training in Technical Design & Patternmaking4+ years in the apparel industry in technical design and/or pattern makingSocial occasion/bridal Technical DesignMust have live model fit experienceMust have extensive knowledge of patternmaking & garment constructionAbility to work in high volume department and interact with multiple cross-functionsSketch technical in IllustratorAbility to work in team environmentSuper Detailed and OrganizedComputer literate - Excel, Illustrator, Photoshop.
