Alaant is excited to recruit a Senior Electrical Project Manager for our electrical contracting client in Rensselaer, NY.As a Senior Electrical Project Manager, you will deliver reliable, timely, and professional support to a team of electricians. You will be the critical link between the office and the field, ensuring seamless communication and project execution. Acting as the face of the company to clients, you will use your independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and manage a diverse workload in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Benefits for the Senior Electrical Project Manager:The base salary is up to $60/HR. Medical Insurance through the UnionPTO/Paid HolidaysVehicle and Phone reimbursementCareer growth opportunitiesResponsibilities for the Senior Electrical Project Manager role:You will collaborate closely with the foreman to ensure project execution with a lean construction mentality.Create a positive relationship with all clients, general contractors, and subcontractors.Assist the Safety Manager in ensuring a safe job site.Responsible for managing/overseeing all aspects of the project(s) from start to finish, reporting weekly to key stakeholders.Manage cash flow to ensure the schedule of values is set up correctly in the system, and pay applications are submitted on time.Identify and estimate all change events as needed.Work with Purchasing to buy out large equipment & subcontractor packages.Review of material requests to ensure orders meet the project scope.Requirements for the Senior Electrical Project Manager role:Associate or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or construction management.10+ years of as an electrician5+ years in construction/project managementUnion status REQUIRED in Local 236, 325, 343, 363, or other electrician unions.PMI Project management certification is preferred.Proficiency of National Electrical CodeProficiency with Microsoft Project or PrimaveraExperience with Earned-Value reporting.Experience working on BIM projects and alongside subcontracted BIM modelers.
