Medical Malpractice Paralegal

Russell Tobin & Associates is currently recruiting for a Medical Malpractice Paralegal to work for one of our clients, a full-service law firm out of the Lake Success, NY area. Apply now! Description: The Medical Malpractice Paralegal will directly support the legal professionals, attorneys, and Partners within the firm's Medical Malpractice Department. This individual will need to have experience supporting a team of litigation attorneys in the Medical Malpractice area. Key Responsibilities: Legal Document Preparation & Filing: Draft motions, pleadings, discovery documents, and other legal correspondence; handle court filings in state and federal courts; track court dates and deadlines.Client & Attorney Support: Act as a liaison, conduct client interviews, prepare trial materials, and assist in trials as needed.Scheduling & Coordination: Manage Outlook calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings with external parties.Office & File Management: Organize filing systems, handle conflict checks, open new matters, and manage other administrative tasks.Technical & Communication Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, Westlaw, ProLaw, and strong communication with a polished, professional presentation.Qualifications: Minimum 2+ years of experience within Medical Malpractice litigation Knowledge of network statements Previous experience within an administrative setting Paralegal certificate preferred Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with strong client services skills Foundational knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Benefits & Compensation: Salary Range --> $50,000 - $70,000 Medical, Dental, 401(K), PTO 100% Paid Benefits (Included in the salary range above)
