A leading Active Brand, located in the garment district of NYC is looking for an Associate Designer / Designer for Women's Activewear.Responsibilities:Assisting Lead Designer on developing product each seasonResearch and identify trend directionsShop market for trend and inspiration and interpret for the target marketWorking through all stages of product development from proto through final production sampleCreating and updating CADs along with techpack detail sheets for both development and production stagesCollaborating between Design, TD and Production departmentCommunication with licensed teams through approval processManage all deadlines within Development/Production CalendarAssist sample trackingAttend fittings and update tech packs as neededMaintain design libraries and filing systemsManage Hangtag and Packaging requests to update artwork for production ordersCreate packaging ideas for special projects, giftables, 2-packs, etc.Requirements:Minimum 2-3 years professional experience preferably in ActivewearStrong illustrator flat sketching skillsKnowledge of garment constructionWell versed in Adobe Illustrator in a MAC environmentHighly organized with excellent communication skills; team oriented.Ability to multi-task, trouble-shoot and problem solveAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with quick turnaround and deadlinesAbility to prioritize workload based on design calendarPosition is based in NYO
