Pay $50 per hour Full-time, 12 hour shifts, 3 days a weekPrior Law Enforcement - specialized preferredMust have a valid Armed New York State Security License Allied Universal® is looking to hire an Armed Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) professionals will support coverage required by client procedure. The Emergency Medical Technician will respond to all medical emergencies, responding to the Protected Area (PA), Vital Area (VA), and Owner Controlled Area (OCA). This position will provide appropriate level of patient care to the extent of EMT Basic certification and client EMT protocols, assist Fire Brigade during fire drills and actual Fire Brigade response with an EMT on standby at the scene to provide immediate medical treatment, provide medical attention to contaminated patients during drills or actual emergencies, and assist in Security drills and in an actual security response.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Respond to all medical emergencies, providing appropriate level of patient care to the extent of EMT Basic certificationComplete detailed medical reports, as applicableInventory of EMS response equipment once per shiftChange the battery in the Auto Pulse every 24 hoursPerform radio checks with the Security Force to maintain continuous communicationsDrive the Ambulance on the open road on a weekly basis to keep the turbo lubricatedAssist Fire Brigade during fire drills and during responsesAssist Fire Brigade response with an EMT on standby at the scene to provide immediate medical treatmentEnsure equipment required for medical emergency response is properly maintained, replaced when required, notifications are made when inventory is low, and is properly certifiedProvide medical attention to contaminated patients during drills or actual emergenciesAssist in low level case managementConduct monthly testing of all automatic electronic defibrillators (AED) on siteReport any safety related concerns with recommended corrective actions where possibleWatch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazardsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or equivalentCurrent and valid EMT-B or higher certificationCurrent and valid state driver's licenseAbility to obtain and maintain all necessary state or federal licensing requirementsA minimum of one (1) year of meaningful and verifiable work history
