Senior Electrical Engineer

Onsite in Newton, MA12+ month W2 ContractPosition Summary: We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our client's R&D team. You will play a key role in transitioning electrical assemblies from prototype to clinical builds, working closely with manufacturing engineering. This position is ideal for someone experienced in developing and testing complex medical devices in a regulated environment.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate on the electrical design of robotic systems.Assist in developing assembly and testing processes for electrical components.Create specifications and develop in-line test fixtures.Maintain the Bill of Materials (BOM) and Device Master Record (DMR).Troubleshoot electromechanical subsystems and document findings.Specify requirements for electrical, firmware, and software development.Author documentation such as assembly instructions and test reports.Participate in multi-disciplinary projects to improve processes.Analyze and recommend improvements for reliability and manufacturability.Manage projects and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.Qualifications:10+ years of electromechanical R&D engineering experience, with 5+ years in medical devices.Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related field.Experience in designing and developing PCBA test fixtures and processes.Knowledge of analog and digital circuit design.Proficient in troubleshooting electronics and systems engineering for medical devices.Hands-on experience with standard electrical test equipment and PCB rework.Familiarity with MATLAB Simulink for test applications and firmware is a plus.
