As aMaintenance Management Trainee (MMT) at Penske, you'll be immersed in ourfleet management and maintenance processes. You will receive focused andaccelerated hands-on training to provide you with critical job skills,including vehicle componentry and maintenance technology. You'll get to workon all levels of our day-to-day maintenance operations as you participate inseven rotations over nine to twelve months. Each rotation consists of on-the-jobtraining, working alongside experience supervisors and technicians. Therotations focus on service department management, effectively leadingassociates, and customer engagement.As a MMT at Penske, you are trusted to work independently while learning fromyour peers and future direct reports. Working alongside your mentors, we'llteach you about our vehicle maintenance processes and the cutting-edgetechnology we use. We will make sure you are getting the training you need tosucceed and grow your career, learning from the best in the industry.This position will be located at the Penske facility at 2723 Tonnelle Avenuein North Bergen, NJ.Main Responsibilities:Overall:• Become familiar with Penske's Maintenance processes• Meet and exceed customer satisfaction• Facility management, assuring a clean and safe working environment• Partnering with your manager to learn new skills• Shadow and actively participate in all seven rotation experience:Introduction to Penske and Operations, Customer Service, TechnologyManagement, Rental, Technician Experience, Parts Management, ServiceDepartment ManagementWhy Penske is for You:• Competitive starting salary• Career stability• Opportunity for growth• Excellent benefits, including lots of time off• Strong, well-rounded training on a variety of OEM equipment (Penske'sTechnician Certification Program is certified as a Continuing AutomotiveService Education provider)• Advanced vehicle maintenance technology• Location and schedule flexibilityQualifications:• Ability and desire to work in a positive, fast paced and high energyenvironment• 1 - 3 years of team management in an environment with strong operationalmetrics• High school diploma or equivalent (required)• Basic mechanical aptitude (preferred)• Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills required• Self-starter who takes responsibility and achieves results• Adaptable quick learner with the ability to pick up company's systems andprocesses• The ability to work well independently and as part of a team• Valid driver's license with ability to obtain a CDL• Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office and web basedapplications preferred• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job• Multiple shift work may be required throughout rotations• The associate will be required to understand and comply with specificinstructions, guidelines, rules, regulations, or other information establishedby Penske management• The associate must be able to perform all work adhering to DOT, OSHA, andall Penske safety and maintenance policies; including but not limited to thecorrect selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, andestablished best safety practice.• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at thespecific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit toa background investigation (to include past employment, education, andcriminal history) and drug screening are required.This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designatedas safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constantstate of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have theability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safetyof others.Physical Requirements: The physical and mental demands described here arerepresentative of those that must be met by an associate to successfullyperform the essential functions of this job.
