Pacific International has been exclusively retained to support a global leader in the manufacturing space to bring in a Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager for their Utica, NY plant. This organization spans multiple sectors, including heating, cooling, and power solutions, serving industrial, commercial, and residential markets.The Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager will lead a team of engineers to execute a series of manufacturing engineering projects. This role is focused on deploying engineering resources to drive new product launches, implement process improvements, and enhance yield, output, and efficiency. Additionally, the manager will cultivate strong partnerships with suppliers and equipment vendors, proactively addressing any issues in service delivery. As a vital member of the management team, this leader will set high standards by championing data-driven analysis and decision-making.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with peers across locations to share knowledge, qualify new processes, and integrate new equipment in alignment with IATF 16949 standards.Serve as the engineering lead for the site, coordinating efforts with R&D and Supply Chain teams across locations.Provide daily leadership and feedback to engineering staff, supporting training and professional development.Guide the team in continuous improvement efforts to optimize manufacturing processes.Direct the transfer of new products from development stages or other manufacturing sites to the production facility.Champion best engineering practices and foster strong collaboration with Quality, Production, Purchasing, Logistics, and other departments.Qualifications and Skills:Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering, or a related field.At least 8 years of engineering management experience in a manufacturing environment.Strong background in project planning and process development.Experience in Lean Manufacturing environments.Knowledge of electronics assembly equipment, including die attach, soldering, cleaning, wire bonding, and gel filling.Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a talent for building and implementing new processes.A proactive, dynamic approach to challenging existing processes and exploring new opportunities.Ability to foster a communicative, team-oriented environment within the group.Willingness to travel internationally, typically less than 10%.About Pacific International Executive Search: Pacific International, a globally recognized retained executive search firm, is dedicated to empowering Fortune 500, FTSE 100, and high-growth enterprises in building exceptional C-suite, senior-level, and strategic leadership teams while championing diversity and inclusion.
