The Junior Sales Representative has an exciting new opportunity to build a successful sales career! This role is perfect for a new grad or Junior Salesperson. Our senior sales staff is ready to commit to training this Contractor Sales Representative to ensure that they are ready to take on the Territory Sales position within two years. If you are a new grad or Junior Salesperson and you have great communication and organization skills, along with stellar closing skills, this might be the position for you!This role is responsible for the daily support of the sales throughout their respective region. Achieve sales and market share growth by generating pull-through demand with contractors, builders, and architects.WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?Competitive compensation/pay package.Dental/Vision/Medical benefitsLife InsuranceHealth Spending AccountEmployee Support and Mental WellnessCompetitive matched retirement savings program - 401K (US) / RRSP (Canada)Be part of a long-standing and stable industry leaderLocationEastern MA and Rhode IslandWHEN YOU JOIN US YOU WILL BE:Developing relationships and growing sales with assigned distribution customers in the territory.Frequently contacting roofing contractors, remodelers, builders, and architects to drive demand.Presenting products and programs to qualified distributors and end users weekly.Performing product knowledge (PK) training sessions with customers.Managing territory pricing based on competitive situations.Following up on inquiries from customers or IKO administration in a timely fashion.Submitting weekly Intelligence Reports in a timely fashion.Increasing the IKO market share in the territory.Attending meetings, functions, and company-provided training as required.Adhering to Health and Safety policies as well as IKO Vehicle policies.Any other responsibilities as assigned.OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:Associate's Degree required; bachelor's degree preferred.Driver's License in good standing is required.3 years of prior sales experience in the building products industry is preferred.Must be willing to consider relocation for future opportunities.Prior sales experience calling on roofing contractors, builders, and/or architects preferred.Prior professional sales training is preferred.Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.Must be able to work flexible hours (including nights and weekends) to complete tasks as assigned.WORK AUTHORIZATIONS AND TRAVEL:Must be authorized to work in the United States of AmericaUp to 100%, travel may be requiredLI-TM1
