Extensive knowledge of luxury householdsSilver Swan is partnering with an established client in Rochester, New York, to find an experienced Estate Manager. This role supports the seamless daily operations of a large private household team, including overseeing housekeepers and coordinating with vendors. The Estate Manager will work closely with the Director of Residences to ensure the highest level of service across multiple properties.Key responsibilities include supervising the Head Housekeeper, managing scheduling, vendor coordination, facilities maintenance, and general troubleshooting. This role demands exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain discretion.Please note: Candidates must have the legal right to live and work in the US, as visa sponsorship is not available. Applications without eligibility will not be considered.Responsibilities:Oversee and supervise the work of housekeeping staff.Coordinate with the Director of Residences to ensure efficient household management.Maintain accurate records of household inventory, staff schedules, and vendor engagements.Conduct regular property inspections to maintain high cleanliness and maintenance standards.Manage household finances, including budgets, receipts, and purchase approvals.Oversee seasonal property preparations, such as winterizing and maintaining summer watercraft.Organize and facilitate family moves between properties.Assist in meal preparation, catering to family preferences and dietary needs.Help plan and execute special events on family properties.Requirements:5+ years of experience in a similar role (Estate Manager, Facilities Manager, etc.).Extensive knowledge of luxury household management and five-star service standards.Flexibility with scheduling, including availability for overtime, weekends, and travel.Ability to manage household systems, fine assets, and facilities maintenance.Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
