System Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Engineer to join a dynamic team in La Palma, CA. This hybrid role, providing a unique opportunity to work on diverse enterprise systems that span on-premise infrastructure and public cloud environments.Key Responsibilities:Administer and manage enterprise systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability across both on-premise and cloud infrastructures.Implement and maintain virtualization technologies, with a focus on VMware, SAN, HCI, vSAN, and networking switches.Oversee Microsoft 365 administration, managing user accounts, security settings, and hybrid infrastructure components.Administer and support phone systems, ensuring seamless communication within the organization.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify system requirements and improve overall IT infrastructure.Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues, providing technical support as needed.Stay current with industry trends and technologies to recommend enhancements and upgrades to existing systems.Top Requirements:Experience: 8+ years in the administration of enterprise systems, encompassing both on-premise and public cloud environments.Virtualization: Strong experience with virtualization technologies, specifically VMware. Familiarity with SAN, HCI, vSAN, and network switching is essential.Microsoft 365: Proficient in Microsoft 365 administration and hybrid infrastructure management.Phone Systems: Experience managing and supporting enterprise phone systems.Certifications: Systems Admin Certifications preferred. Network and firewall experience is required.Qualifications:Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.A proactive approach to system administration and a commitment to continuous improvement.
