Blip Delivery is an innovative on-demand drone delivery service dedicated to safe, efficient, and advanced delivery solutions. We specialize in using cutting-edge drone technology for rapid delivery and reconnaissance needs. As we expand, we're looking for dedicated Visual Observers to ensure that our operations meet the highest safety standards.The Visual Observer (VO) is essential for safe drone operations, serving as the on-ground eyes to maintain line of sight (VLOS) with the drone and communicate with the pilot. The VO is responsible for tracking the drone's location, identifying potential hazards, and ensuring compliance with FAA and company-specific safety protocols.Key Responsibilities:Maintain Visual Line of Sight (VLOS): Ensure the drone remains within visual line of sight during operations, observing it continuously and accurately.Safety Monitoring: Identify and report any obstacles, hazards, or safety concerns in the drone's path.Communication with Pilot: Provide real-time updates and guidance to the Remote Pilot in Command (RPIC) via radio or other designated communication tools.Weather and Environmental Awareness: Monitor weather conditions and other environmental factors to determine their potential impact on flight safety.Regulatory Compliance: Comply with all FAA Part 107 regulations, Blip's safety procedures, and standard operating protocols.Emergency Response: Act promptly in emergencies, supporting the pilot to navigate back to safe landing zones when needed.Qualifications:Experience in Drone Operations: Prior experience as a visual observer or similar role is preferred but not required.FAA Knowledge: Familiarity with FAA Part 107 and general drone regulations.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills for effective and timely relay of information to pilots.Attention to Detail: Strong observational skills to identify potential hazards and track the drone's position accurately.Teamwork Orientation: Ability to work closely with the RPIC and other team members to ensure seamless operations.
