We are working with one of the largest global associations of investment professionals. They are actively seeking a reliable and proactive Event Assistant to support evening events on a part-time, contract basis. This position is essential in ensuring smooth event operations, providing attendees with a welcoming experience, and maintaining an organized event space.ResponsibilitiesGuest Check-InGreet attendees and check them in at the front desk or main lobby, ensuring efficient and accurate entry to each event.Assist with Q&A SessionsSupport moderators and speakers during Q&A sessions, handling microphones, organizing questions, and keeping sessions on track.Crowd ControlManage and guide attendees to maintain an orderly flow throughout the venue and prevent overcrowding in specific areas.Event Clean-UpAssist with clean-up and resetting of the event space post-event to maintain a tidy, professional environment.Issue EscalationIdentify and address potential issues promptly, using good judgment to escalate as necessary.Event Planning & CoordinationEvents are typically scheduled 2 to 6 weeks in advance. Flexibility and communication skills are key, as is a strong ability to work independently and within a team to ensure each event's success.Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate will have experience in event support or customer service, possess a strong attention to detail, and demonstrate a calm, proactive approach to managing diverse situations.
