Insight Global is seeking onsite Head Start and Early Head Start Teachers in Columbus, OH. The day to day will consist of planning and implementing learning experiences that ensure effective curriculum implementation, use of assessment, and promote children's progress across the standards described in the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework. They will need to be able to provide responsive care, effective teaching, and an organized learning environment in preparation for school success. The ideal candidate will be able to develop strong nurturing relationships with children and families. They will need to adhere to meeting Head Start performance standards, following the agency policies and procedures, and Child Care Licensing rules and regulations.MUST HAVES:Head Start Lead Teacher (42 weeks) spring break and summers off:One year of experience in a preschool/ day care, (ages birth to five) classroom. An associate, bachelor, or advanced degree in a related field with coursework equivalent (18 credits) to a major relating to ECE and experience teaching preschool children (WILL NEED TO PROVIDE TRANSCRIPTS) Experience adapting curriculum to meet the needs of all children, including at-risk, special needs, and culturally diverse populations.The ability to use sound judgement to make well thought-out and informed decisions, the ability to apply knowledge and understanding, and use critical thinking skills to problem solve situations that involve several variables.Advanced computer skills, including internet and e-mail.Must be able to pass background test/ drug test and Federal fingerprinting have a valid driver's license. MUST HAVES:Infant/Toddler Teacher Early Head Start Teacher (52 weeks):One year of experience in a preschool/ day care, (ages birth to five) classroom. A current national infant and toddler center-based CDA credential issued by the Council for Professional Recognition (WILL NEED A COPY OF THE CERTIFICATION)Extensive knowledge of early childhood development principles and developmentally appropriate educational practices.Ability to plan, manage, and evaluate curriculum.Ability to handle stress, remain focused, and use sound judgement to make clear decisions.Ability to develop consistent, stable, and supportive relationships with young children, parents, and staff.Must be able to pass background test/ drug test and Federal fingerprinting and have a valid driver's license.
