An employer is looking for a Sr. Integrity Engineer to join a large Utility customer in the Southern California area. You would be joining the Integrity Management team, focused on Threat and Risk, specifically focused on Distribution Assests and threats (Pipeline, Steele and Plastic pipes, Meter Sets, Regulator Stations) . You will be performing threat evaluation and risk assessment by applying engineering risk assessment principles toward increasingly integrated, data-driven, and quantified safety and reliability. The environment can at times be ambiguous, so we need someone who is comfortable working without constant structure. Primary focus will be around internal corrosion and how it may impact pipelines and decision making. You need to be able to look at the data holistically and put together a methodology into place and then work to maintain it. Data could be coming from maintenance records, lab reports, etc.Other responsibilities include:Translates complex results into a unified and integrated risk framework that clearly expresses threat likelihood, consequence, and business value (return on investment) balanced with safety and regulatory compliance.Uses in-depth knowledge in regulations, standards and evaluation of risk regarding integrity management programs to provide technical expertise to various project teamsCommunicates complex information with all levels of stakeholders, occasionally including senior management presentations.Must-Haves:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required; a Master's Degree in Engineering or Mathematics is preferred.Eight years of engineering experience including four years related to risk, reliability, threat evaluation, or integrity management.Thorough knowledge of specific engineering disciplines to analyze and solve problems as appropriate to the area of assigned responsibility.Background in supporting Distribution, Facilities, or Power/Chemical PlantsMust possess developed project management skills (e.g., leadership, communication, team management, scheduling, negotiation, decision-making, problem-solving, cost control, risk management, adaptability, execution) and concepts, and understands how it applies to their work. - Ability to interpret state and federal codes, industry standards and Gas Standards for clientsCompensation: $145k - $170kExact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
