POSITION OVERVIEW:The Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing the procurement processes, strategies, and team within the retail corporate division. This position offers the opportunity to lead and execute strategic initiatives, identify procurement opportunities, and collaborate with business partners to bring these initiatives to fruition. The Procurement Manager will drive positive engagement throughout the department, focusing on value-added processes and cost efficiencies. This role requires a proactive leader who can target impactful spend and cash savings annually while fostering innovation, collaboration, and enterprise thinking.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Procurement Processed and StrategiesPartner with Senior Management to develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies.Identify procurement opportunities and work with business partners to execute strategic initiatives.Drive innovation in procurement processes and strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.Target significant spend impact and cash savings annually by developing cost efficiencies.Provide leadership to the Procurement Team, encouraging a focus on value-added processes and cost-saving initiatives.Foster an engaging, collaborative and high-performance work environment.Encourage enterprise thinking and collaboration across departments to achieve procurement goals.Promote a culture of continuous improvement and strategic thinking within the procurement team.Influence and cultivate strong relationships across the organization and with key suppliers.Manage and support departmental financial processes.Assist in streamlining travel and procurement policies.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A master's degree in a related field is highly preferred.Minimum of 5 years of relative experience and in managing and leading teams. Experience in the use of Microsoft 365 software a must.OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:Ability to manage, effectively lead and direct team members.Ability to communicate effectively and influence peers.Ability to design and lead initiatives independently and achieve results.Must possess the ability to collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Must work independently toward results, grasp details, devise new methods, and take high degree of initiative on complex assignments.Must possess a sense of urgency to complete tasks and follow through to end results.Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, walk, and occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.Ability to travel periodically to supplier sites, retail locations and distribution centers.
