Technical Manager - Bridges

Position Overview: We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead and the bridge/structural group for our client based out of Atlanta, GA. In this position you will join a nationally recognized leader in innovative bridge/transportation design, renowned for delivering high-profile projects across the countryKey Responsibilities:Team Leadership: Collaborate with departmental heads to evaluate staffing needs and propose compensation structures for new and existing team members. Conduct performance reviews and guide team members in identifying growth opportunities that align with their career trajectories and organizational priorities.Project Management: Effectively distribute resources across multiple projects while considering deadlines, budgets, and key milestones. Monitor compliance with quality control standards and regularly assess plans, working with teams to troubleshoot any issues that arise.Skill Development: Engage with industry organizations and encourage team involvement in professional growth initiatives. Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement training programs that enhance technical skills within the team.Client Engagement: Foster and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective clients to secure new project opportunities and strengthen partnerships.Contract and Budget Oversight: Support project leaders in staffing new projects and negotiating contracts. Authorize requests for capital purchases in accordance with organizational policies and budget guidelines.Additional Responsibilities: Take on other tasks as assigned by management.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a master's degree is highly desirable. An MBA or management training is a plus.A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, including at least three years in a management or leadership capacity.Strong technical knowledge paired with excellent interpersonal skills, enabling effective leadership and project oversight. Exceptional communication skills are essential for interacting with clients and stakeholders.A Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
