Manages a major complex project and/or several routines/less complex projects.Technical Responsibilities Review daily field inspections, maintain inspection reports, and prepare progress reports. Prepare, review, and negotiate monthly payment quantities. Verify that construction activities comply according to contracts and specifications. Interact and communicate project information with clients and project staff to clearly explain project staff to clearly explain project details for interpretation of plans and specifications. Perform quantity and engineering computations, as well as understand plans and specifications. Comprehend required inspection codes and requirements to carry out testing. Track and record the quantities of materials received or used. Order and release of materials for job site. Schedule and set up project operations. Order equipment, materials, and trucking. Proficient in software required to complete assigned projects. Responsive to Client and other KSE Department needs.RequirementsEducational Requirements and Experience Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and three years of experience in construction inspection or Management on infrastructure construction projects (highway/sewer/water), OR High school diploma or its educational equivalent and ten years of experience in construction inspection ormanagement of infrastructure construction projects (highway/sewer/water)Professional Licenses/Registrations ASCE Grade I, or NICET Grade II ACI Grade I (Applicable only to Federal Aid Projects with FHWA and/or FTA Funding) Current Water Main Inspection Certification confirming completion of NYCDDC Water Main Training for only water main construction inspections projects.Professional Development Actively participates in professional societies, industry organizations, and local civic organizations. Encourages the staff to participate in professional societies, industry organizations and local civic organizations.
