What's yours?2nd shift (3:15pm-11:45pm M-F)Entry Pay Rate: $20.60 plus shift premiumShift premium 7% of base wagePosition OverviewThe Hunter Douglas Plastics & Die Casting facility has manufactured and assembled plastic injection moldings in Owensboro, KY since 1981.This position is responsible for safely and efficiently setting die cast molds and run production to produce products that meet customer specifications in accordance with established policies and procedures. What you'll doStart up and shut down all die cast machines for production. Removal and installation of molds in presses.Run production and troubleshoot die cast machinesReads part criteria and test product according to said criteria.Perform quality checks with calipers and gauges for measuring product.Fill zinc pots to feed die-cast machine.Skim dross out of die cast pots that are 840 degrees wearing face shield, die cast coat, sleeves, and gloves.Push and pull pallets of parts and material using pallet jack.Follow and confirm preventive maintenance schedules, and record findings.Perform burnishing of casted product.May occasionally perform production operator duties as needed.Keep work area in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion in accordance with 6s.Frequent bending and lifting up to 40 pounds, and on occasion sliding up to 80 pounds.Tolerate ambient temperatures of 90 degrees with peeks of 100 degrees at 90% humidity.All other duties as assignedWho you areTwo years formal training or its equivalent, and one-year industrial experience in die-casting. Experience may be considered in lieu of education/formal training.Ability to read part prints and technical operation documents.Have good mechanical ability and analytical skills.
