Position Summary: The Director of HR & Office Operations will oversee and streamline human resources functions, recruiting efforts, administrative operations, workplace experience, compliance, and internal efficiencies. This role is integral to creating a productive, supportive, and compliant workplace that aligns with the company's mission, values, and growth goals. The Director will work closely with leadership to ensure that all internal operations run smoothly, that staff is well-supported, and that policies are consistently applied.Key Responsibilities:Human Resources Management:Develop, implement, and manage HR policies, practices, and procedures to foster a positive and legally compliant work environment.Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning.Ensure all HR practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.Recruiting & Talent Acquisition:Lead full-cycle recruiting for all open positions, including job posting, sourcing, interviewing, and selection.Develop and execute recruiting strategies that attract a diverse pool of candidates and meet hiring needs.Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and create effective job descriptions and interview processes.Onboarding & Offboarding:Design and manage an engaging, efficient onboarding process that ensures new hires feel welcomed and are quickly set up for success.Oversee offboarding procedures, ensuring a smooth transition, compliance with company policy, and documentation.Continuously improve onboarding materials and processes based on feedback and best practices.Administrative Operations:Oversee all administrative functions, including facilities management, office supply inventory, and vendor relationships.Implement and optimize office policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and seamless day-to-day functioning.Supervise administrative support staff, providing guidance and development to enhance their contributions.Workplace Experience:Create and maintain a positive, productive workplace culture by implementing programs and initiatives that support employee well-being and engagement.Organize and lead team-building events, professional development workshops, and other activities that foster connection and growth.Maintain a high-quality, inclusive, and functional office environment, ensuring employees have the resources they need.Compliance & Risk Management:Ensure company compliance with all labor and employment laws and update policies as regulations evolve.Develop and implement health, safety, and security policies, including COVID-19 guidelines, to create a safe work environment.Conduct audits and assessments to identify risks and address compliance gaps.Internal Operations & Efficiency:Identify and implement strategies to improve organizational processes, workflows, and overall internal efficiency.Work cross-functionally with departments to optimize resource allocation and streamline operations.Regularly review and update internal policies, ensuring they align with business objectives and support operational excellence.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.Experience with Rippling and/or other Saas management solution us preferred.5+ years of progressive experience in HR and operations roles, including experience in a management or leadership capacity.Proven track record in recruiting, onboarding, and talent management.Strong understanding of HR compliance, labor laws, and best practices.Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively across departments, manage multiple priorities, and drive initiatives.Competencies:Strategic mindset with the ability to balance high-level organizational needs and day-to-day operations.Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic and evolving work environment.Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements.Commitment to fostering an inclusive, engaging workplace that aligns with the company's values and mission.
