We are using our service priorities - Safety, Friendliness, Presentation, and Efficiency to help us make decisions at work every day and are critical to the success of our business goals.Title: Replenishment and Inventory SpecialistJob: Computer Generated Ordering and Inventory SupervisorJob Summary: The Replenishment and Inventory Specialist role is responsible for ensuring a great customer experience for Sunrise ShopRite consumers by maintaining pricing integrity storewide, inventory control for all departments, ensure all equipment and systems are maintained in proper working order as assigned by Management, and maintain effective communication with all departments. The Replenishment and Inventory Specialist will oversee all Computer Generated Order (CGO) departments in the Member organization, communicate with Store Managers, Department Managers, and Store Coordinators, and act as the liaison between CGO personnel, store operations and Executive Staff. The Specialist must possess a working knowledge of CGO, Store Transfer, Direct Store Delivery, Backdoor Receiving, Store Inventory, Reduction Label, Hand Held Devices, Store Shrink, Production Planning, and related promotional systems. This knowledge must be at a level which enables the Specialist to develop, facilitate and maintain these systems both in the Wakefern and Member environments via training, system installation, and support the continual evolution and improvement of the process and technologies. The Specialist is responsible for the ongoing training & mentoring of the CGO coordinators, and empowers those coordinators to train & mentor Department Managers and high potential Associates in CGO tasks such as inventory control, item locator, In-Aisle Audits, overstock reports, commitment books, etc. The ideal CGO Supervisor candidate will be a detail-oriented, forward thinking self-starter who has the ability to work both independently as well as in a group setting.Essential Job Functions: Performance of the essential functions of this position require the Associate to possess the minimum qualifications listed above. These functions include, but are not limited to, the following:ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the ongoing training & mentoring of the CGO coordinators, and providing feedback during performance reviews.Review all E-mail directives and communications from the Wakefern CGO department and assure that all department Managers are informed of pertinent information provided in these communications.Review all CGO and related system (Transfers, Store Inventory, Reduction Label, Commitments) enhancements with store CGO Coordinators, department managers and store management. Ensure that all associates are fully trained in enhancement functionality and that the functionality is implemented as needed.Assure compliance to all CGO Best Practices for all departments utilizing CGO Auto Ordering.Ensure all store walks are being conducted efficiently.Confirm DSD Vendors are on CGO and order lists are being reviewed daily.Order lists reviewed daily.Provide training to store personnel as needed for CGO and related applications.Periodically review store order and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy.Ensure CGO store level is maintaining accurate CGO sections for In-Aisle Audits, CGO Pack Out reports, and Store Inventory.Review the Issued Rain-Check report and the Rain-Check Redemption report from the previous day and communicate with CGO coordinators and store management.Review In-Aisle Audit Excel report to monitor adjustments made during the course of an In-Aisle Audit.Monitor the results of any and all mandatory cycle counts and identify potential causes for shrink.Review overstock report with department managers'/store managers.Review large inventory adjustments and question the validity.Review the Forced Ordered Item Report for store departments and follow-up with Department Managers and CGO Coordinators.Ensure system settings are reviewed for order generation accuracy.Periodically review CGO reports to ensure corrective maintenance is being performedInventory Adjustment ReportDamage ReportAdjustment Audits GOC2/GOC4Setup Shrink and Shelf-Life applications within each department. (Long Term Goal)Ensure CGO Coordinators properly train Department Managers to utilize the Commitment Book system and programs, as well as Promo Forecasting on a weekly basis.Review, observe, and train Receivers in Procedures to determine correct backdoor policies are being followed.Observe trending out of stocks and make adjustments to system settings as necessary.Report system related issues/problems to CGO.help@ or a CGO Problem Form as needed.Attend monthly User Group Meetings/Web-Ex Meetings to review the latest updates on CGO and Related systems.Opportunity to interact with other chains in terms of Best Practices and discussions surrounding system functions/enhancements.Ensure stores follow the necessary CGO processes following a reset.Assist stores in recovering from a power/refrigeration loss when needed.Shared Operational ResponsibilitiesReview any operational procedures that are impacting the daily CGO Best Practices.Ensure stores are maintaining a separate backroom or overhead location for:New ItemsCurrent sale itemsShippersRegular over stockEnsure stores are verifying over stock before it is placed in the back room.Ensure cycle counts are being conducted by CGO Coordinators and Department Managers on expected timeline.Holiday/Seasonal ResponsibilitiesSeasonally Review the following criteria/settings with Store Associates:Trailer Balancing prioritiesCase Round Ups/Percent of AllocationCommodity/Sub Commodity OverridesEnsure stores have reviewed and entered exception sale forecasts (19 weeks of the year)Ensure stores have entered freeze forecast or store close as needed.Did any main holiday items go out of stock?Ensure Microstrategy reports for top selling items by department are reviewed before and after each holiday.Verify Exception Sale Forecasts were reviewed and corrected if necessary by each store and department.Store Inventory (SI) Responsibilities (Long Term Goal)Assist in the installation of CGO and Store Inventory into all departments in all stores.Ensure associates responsible for Department Inventories are using the Store Inventory application correctly and efficiently.Locations are setup properly.CGO is being utilized.Department Managers are changing locations when appropriate.Variance reports are being reviewed prior to approval.High and Low GP items are reviewed.Items with a large count variance to either CGO or prior inventory are reviewed.Ensure all Department Managers review the sections that are set not to load to SI for any items that should be loading.Research Department Inventory results and be able to dive into the causes of shrink through the use of:Known Shrink ReportReduction Label reportsCGO Audit TrailsShip vs Scan ReportsInventory Adjustment ReportsKnowledge and Skills:· Four-year college degree is preferred.· Minimum 3 years in center store management, supervisory or CGO experience· Expertise in Retail Operations process and reports· Expertise in various CGO reports to help identify opportunities to store personnel· Ability to train and coach associates at store level in all areas of CGO and inventory management· Strong technical, analytical, leadership, customer service and PC skills as demonstrated by previous experience· Knowledge of retail store operations related to sales, gross profit, shrink, labor requirements and retail merchandising· Proficiency in taking and reviewing SI inventory· Well-developed oral and written communication skills including the ability to write and deliver both informal and formal presentations to various audiences· Ability to work in fast paced environment, with demonstrated ability to multi-task and resolve problems effectively and efficiently.· Proficient in Rapid, MicroStrategy, Metafile, Production Planning, ARIA and Ad Management· Must be proficient in the following PC programs: Word, Excel, Powerpoint with ability to be trained on our consumer data warehouse.· Valid driver's license and a good driving record
