If you're ready to drive impactful tax solutions in a thriving environment, this role is for you!Key Responsibilities:Stay abreast of pending and new tax legislation to navigate the company through planning opportunities and complianceCoordinate and manage tax law and interpretations and implementation of changes.Responsible for compliance with existing tax law and review of tax returns.Tax expert for the accounting department, providing interpretive guidance to ensure compliance with tax laws and cases.Serve as the primary point of contact between the company and our external tax agency, facilitating effective communication and addressing any issues that arise.Assist with the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns, including working with financial statements and supporting documentation.Review personal and trust tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.Act as a bridge for the accounting team by translating complex tax information into understandable terms for team members who may lack a tax background.Ask intelligent and relevant questions to both internal stakeholders and external tax professionals to ensure a thorough understanding of tax implications and strategies.Stay updated on tax laws and regulations, ensuring that all tax-related activities comply with current legal requirements.Maintain accurate and organized records of all tax-related documents and correspondence.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance and a JD or Masters in Tax preferred.At least 4-6 years of experience in tax advisory and preparation.Public or Public/Private industry experience preferredStrong understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts in a clear and concise manner.For immediate consideration please send your resume directly to: cecilia.bjurstrom@
