OVERVIEWOur client, a Global Fortune 50 organization and one of world's largest distributors of Health care systems, medical supplies & Pharmaceutical products,seeks an accomplished "Pharmacy Technician" JOB ID:JP00005060 TITLE: Pharmacy Technician LOCATION: Onsite Role | Client Location: 970 Riverside Parkway West Sacramento CA 95605 DURATION: 4-month assignment with the possibility of extension WORK SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 1-9:30pm, Mandatory OT. Mandatory OT. Candidates to be aware that after 6 weeks or earlier they can move to the Sunday - Thursday shift based off business needs. Sundays are 8am-4:30pm.Pay Rate: $22.97/hr. W2Responsibilities:Refills and replenishes prescription requests in an automated refill setting. Under the supervision of a Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician prepares, packages and distributes medications in a fast-paced production environment. Maintains continuous, consistent workflow in order to meet daily production goals.Fills bottles with prescribed tablets and capsules including refrigerated itemsOpens bottles and casesUses SI Baker equipment to fill bottlesRead computer generated screens to find indicated merchandise on labeled shelves, verify size and strength of the product before selecting orderInventories cycle counts of each medicationReplenishes medication that runs lowPerforms cleaning and maintenance on all cassettesCounts stock to maintain inventorySelect drugs from stock for preparationCounts or pours pharmaceuticalsPlaces pharmaceutical products in appropriate containers and affixes labels to containers in BulkMonitors prescription inventory for expired pharmaceuticalsMaintains the floor in a clean and orderly conditionJob Requirements:EducationHigh School Diploma or GED required. Associates Degree in Science preferredPharmacy Technician license requiredPharmacy Technician & Assistant licenses must be kept valid throughout the term of employmentComplete State, National or NACDS technical training as required by the StateHIPPA Certification required.Specialized Knowledge/Skills: Able to discern number of items in package and determine number from package or number of packages neededAbility to fill bottles with 100% accuracy and efficiency using the SI Baker equipment and subsequent programsAble to read computer generated screensGood communication skillsI'd love to talk to you if you think this position is right up your alley, and assure prompt communication, whichever direction.
