A renowned healthcare organization in New York City is seeking an Assistant Director of Talent & Workforce to support strategic hiring and talent management efforts across the hospital. This role will play a key part in driving recruitment strategies that attract top talent while ensuring a seamless candidate experience.ResponsibilitiesThe Assistant Director of Talent & Workforce will be responsible for:Partnering with departmental leaders to understand workforce needs, lead a team of recruiters, and develop innovative sourcing strategies to meet hiring goals. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by enhancing the hospital's recruitment efforts and helping build a patient-centered, high-performing workforce.Leading, coaching, and developing a team of recruiters to support the hospital's recruitment needs across various departmentsCollaborating with the Director of Talent Acquisition to implement comprehensive talent acquisition strategies that align with the hospital's mission and valuesPartnering with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, job specifications, and ideal candidate profilesManaging end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, sourcing, interviewing, and selection to ensure timely and effective hiringDeveloping and implementing proactive sourcing strategies, including social media recruitment, networking, and partnerships with universities and healthcare associationsAnalyzing recruitment metrics and data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvementsEnsuring a positive candidate experience, from the initial contact through onboarding, fostering a culture of care and respect in line with the hospital's valuesSupporting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives by actively sourcing diverse candidates and promoting a culture of inclusivity within hiring practicesCoordinating with HR and department leaders to support onboarding processes that facilitate new hire success and retentionManaging relationships with external recruitment agencies and job boards as neededStaying informed on industry trends and best practices in healthcare recruitment to maintain a competitive edge in attracting talentQualificationsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree5+ years of experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, preferably in a healthcare or hospital settingExperience in a leadership or supervisory role within recruitment/talent acquisitionStrong knowledge of full-cycle recruitment, sourcing strategies, and applicant tracking systems (ATS)Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsDemonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate with hiring managers and team membersProven track record in driving diversity recruitment and fostering inclusive hiring practicesAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities effectivelyDesired SkillsExperience with talent acquisition metrics and data analysisSHRM-CP or similar HR certificationKnowledge of labor market trends in healthcareProficiency in HR technology and digital recruitment tools
