Title: Maintenance Mechanic ILocation: Clackamas, OR 48081Duration: 06 Months ContractShift: Work schedule is 5 days a week 8 hours a day. (Comfortable to work in any Shift)DescriptionAs a part of a Union environment, our team is looking for an individual that can be flexible during their probationary period. Specifically, with scheduling, you may be asked to work nights, weekends, or holidays, with appropriate notice. You may be asked to function within multiple areas of the plant.Starting rates will be no less than the local minimum wage and may vary based on experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement.Additional shift differential for swing / graveyard, incentives for stainless steel sanitary welding and LME card holder.ROLE RESPONSIBILITIESObserves all company safety policies and procedures as well as maintain good housekeeping, GMP and Global Food Safety practicesChangeover, repair and troubleshoot all plant production equipmentLockout/Tagout proceduresIdentification of complex problems with mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, hydraulic issues on all associated equipment (conveyors, compressors, chillers, programmable controllers, robots); review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutionsDiagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them- checking blueprints- repair manuals- or parts catalogs- as necessaryDismantle and reassemble machines to fit or replace necessary partsAble to understand and complete Preventative Maintenance based on Preventative Maintenance schedulesPerform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is neededResponsive to maintenance requests in a timely manner and complete maintenance reports as requiredMaintain plant equipment to ensure maximum efficiencyAbility to work with vendors and/or contractors as requiredEnsure spare parts or services are ordered as requiredImplement operational improvements (spoilage, downtime, line speeds, etc.)Train others to operate equipment and produce products safely and efficientlyMaintain organization of spare partsMaintain a clean and organized work areaPerform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisorComplete special projects and duties as assignedContinuously monitor and physically inspect production equipmentRebuild/ fabrication of equipmentWelding mild and stainless steelComplete work ordersMaintain logs and recordsInvestigates electrical and instrument equipment failures and develops action plans to eliminate repetitive failuresLocates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operationProvides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requestsOther duties as assigned within the scope of the roleROLE REQUIREMENTSYou are 18 years of age or olderHigh School Degree or equivalent2+ years in a manufacturing/production environmentExperience with mechanical and/or electrical repair requiredYou have knowledge of fabrication, machine shop tools, hydraulics and/or pneumaticsYou have ability to read and follow schematics, electrical diagrams, and blueprintsYou must be able to lift to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequentlyManual dexterity, overall coordination, and good balance are requiredYou enjoy working as a part of a larger team to make an impactEnsuring a safe work environment is a priority to youYou take pride in the work you do, with every detail, whether big or smallBeing a part of your community mattersLME (Limited Maintenance Electrical) License preferred
