Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Fiber Engineering Manager at Amplex Internet in Luckey, OH. The Fiber Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing local and subcontractor engineering and construction teams, leading projects, and managing the overall project timeline and integration processes.Key ResponsibilitiesLead our local and subcontractor engineering and construction teams to build fiber projects.Manage the FTTH projects' scope, cost, schedule, resources, stakeholders, and quality.Direct, track, and prioritize fiber projects Collaborates with Engineering & Construction managers to ensure planning estimates and designs meet deployment standards, accurate costing, and develop technical documentation.Directs day-to-day operational and technical aspects of multiple large-scale projects.Manage kickoff meetings, conference calls, and resources (contractors, vendors, partner carriers, people)Acts as a primary point of contact and subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring their needs are addressed and fostering strong relationships.Manage fiber outages, tickets, and FST installation issues related to fiber build.Work with the NOC, Business, Sales, Operation, and CSR departments to deliver projects or resolve customer issues.Work with the CTO to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.Communicate project status updates to the CTO and other stakeholders regularly.Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.Ensure efficient utilization of resources to achieve project objectives.Address and resolve any resource-related issues that may arise during the project.Implement quality control measures to ensure project deliverables meet the required standards.Conduct regular project reviews and audits to identify areas for improvement.Key CompetenciesStrong project management skills and proven ability to interact with all levels of the organization.OSP Engineering and technical experience is essential.GIS experience, 3GIS is preferred Strong understanding of GPON technology and FTTH architectureExcellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsHigh degree of problem-solving and decision-making ability.Benefits will be available after 90 days:401(k)401(k) matchingHealth insuranceVision insuranceDental insuranceHealth savings accountPaid time offPaid holidaysLife insuranceThis is an in office, day shift position.
