International law firm headquartered in Washington, D.C. is seeking an Environmental Associate with 3-6 years of experience in environmental, administrative, or regulatory law to join its preeminent national chemical practice to work in its Washington, D.C. Office. Experience with the following is preferred, but not required: pesticides (FIFRA), chemical control (TSCA), FTC Act, or occupational safety and health (OSHA). Responsibilities may include direct contact counseling clients, enforcement defense, drafting of opinion letters and memorandum, preparing rulemaking comments, and representing coalitions and trade associations. Candidate should possess strong academic credentials, analytical, writing, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to assume immediate responsibility. Demonstrated comfort with regulatory, technical, and government policy issues is essential. Background and experience in science is ideal but not required. Given the firm's team approach and extensive client contact, ability to relate with a variety of people is imperative.We offer a convenient Metro Center address, a professional and friendly work environment, an excellent benefits package, salary commensurate with experience, and bonus plan. The salary range is: $172,000 - $225,000 which represents the presently anticipated low and high end of our salary range for this position. Actual salary may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to job-related experience.
