JOB - Control System EngineerLOCATION - Calabasas, CATERM - PermanentSALARY - $120,000 - $135,000 + bonusMy client - one of the nation's largest and most established engineering firms, is seeking a skilled Control System Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.The ideal candidate will be experienced in designing and implementing control systems, including control panel design, system integration, and electrical/controls engineering for large-scale projects.The Control System Engineer's role will include:Developing control system architecture from scratch, including component selection, electrical panel design, and system configuration.Producing detailed documentation, including design descriptions, panel layouts, schematics, and network diagrams. Proficiency in AutoCAD preferred.Conducting risk assessments and designing safety-critical components within control systems.Ensuring designs meet local, state, and client-specific standards and regulatory codes.Performing calculations for system reliability, including short circuit protection, power consumption, load flow, and safety system implementation.Collaborating with other disciplines to optimize panel locations and design efficient control systems.Supporting on-site commissioning, including control system installation, validation, and troubleshooting.The Control System Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline with relevant experience in control systems.Minimum of 5 years in control system engineering, with experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector.Skilled in PLC programming, control system calculations, and design software, with familiarity in hardware from manufacturers like Allen-Bradley and Siemens.DeltaV experience.Control Panel design experience (ideally within AutoCAD Electrical).Strong organizational and communication skills, with a focus on accuracy, client service, and multi-project management.Ability to travel up to 30% if required for project needs.For more information about this Controls Engineer role, please apply or email Jack Smillie at jsmillie@ who can provide more details about the opportunity.Many thanks,Premier Group
