Company is looking for someone ideally with nonwovens buying experience or any type of rolled goods such as fabrics, paper, etc.ROLE SUMMARYThe Sourcing Analyst is responsible for sourcing key commodities for our nonwoven manufacturing operation. They will analyze customer demand and production capability to determine the optimal raw material feedstock to purchase considering cost, quality and timeliness. Work requires an end to end understanding of the business including a full understanding of all costs associated with placing a product into market. The Sourcing Analyst should be the expert for their respective product portfolio. The role will interface with all aspects of the business including product development, domestic and global vendors, operations, customer service and sales.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESConduct, behavior and actions in accordance with company's core values of Caring, Creativity, Determination, Dependability and TeamworkConduct, behavior and actions in accordance with company's Valued Colleague PledgeVendor Management. 1) Qualify new vendors. 2) Manage current vendor base. 3) Nurture and grow relationships with both new and current vendors. 4) Measure supplier performance, communicate metrics, and assist in supplier continuous improvement efforts.Inventory management to achieve defined company inventory turn goals while also meeting customer demand requirementsEnsure purchasing patterns adhere to any stocking agreements that may be in place.Identify and implement optimal dimensions for inbound product to maximize processing efficiencies and minimize wasteAssist order prep as it relates to application of goods to non-standard customer ordersCross Functional Leadership. Lead a team without being the direct manager. Provide leadership and guidance where appropriate and become a champion for the team to remove roadblocks and address issues head on.Negotiate and minimize costs across all facets of the product (fabric cost, vendor payment terms, freight, sourcing commission, tariffs, internal handling and processing) to achieve lowest total costVendor visits to gain full understanding of mill capabilities and processes and how those processes can be adjusted to meet customer requirementsCommunicate effectively with international and domestic suppliers.Where applicable:Manage all purchase orders to ensure delivery dates meet customer requirements while considering total cost impacts. This monitoring process will include coding, product, vendor, and other checks as may be necessary from time to timePerform and maintain full cost analysis of assigned product lines including new product development opportunitiesMaintain procurement documents in a systematic, retrievable mannerProvide timely turn-around on all purchases order information to insure adequate delivery of goods and servicesCommunicate with sales personnel in a timely manner on changes to orders and/or arrival datesConsult with Director of Supply Chain and Product Engineering regarding information and availability of productProvide backup for Sourcing personnel as neededReport any issues or concerns that arise through daily work to the Global Supply Chain DirectorOther duties as assignedABOUT CompanySince 1994, this company has built a strong reputation for delivering quality materials with the most reliable service in the industry. Poised for growth, we play a vital role in the production and distribution of nonwoven fabrics and textile products that serve our target markets.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in business, supply chain management, textiles or other related fieldRelated and/or transferable experience of sourcing and/or cost savings may be considered in lieu of education.3+ years previous direct material sourcing experienceERP system proficiency - Proficient with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, SAP, Oracle, or othersData analysis - Ability to extract required data and perform relevant analysis, leading to data-driven decision-makingKnowledge of Excel, Microsoft Office.High attention to detail and organized in presentation of data.High sense of urgency - must be able to prioritize and complete tasks quickly and accurately.Problem Solving - working independently and with others to prevent/resolve problemsAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environment where priorities frequently change.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Self-motivated individual looking to make an impact.Additional Desired Attributes and Abilities:Negotiation Skills - ability to persuade vendors to set terms that are favorable for the company. Advanced knowledge of Excel - Mathematical reasoningProject Management skills.Experience with nonwoven or roll goods.Sourcing experience in Asia Pacific & North America
