Senior Associate responsible for the daily processing of the firm's dividends and corporate actions responsibilities.-Daily notification to trading groups and our clients of upcoming cash and stock dividends, and corporate actions information. Communication is transmitted via e-mail and through the XCITEK XSP application.-Processing of executed stock and cash movements related to dividends and corporate actions. Processing is done through the FIS Phase3 accounting system.-Daily transmittal of our intentions through DTC. Tasks within DTCC include knowledge of DTC CA WEB, CLAIMCONNECT, EDS, SDAR, Liability notice (180 Letter) and DTC Portal functionality.-Ongoing communication with trading desks and our clients on updates during the life cycle of an active Voluntary and Mandatory reorganizations, including stock splits, name changes, tender offers, etc.-Daily reporting and communication on international stock and cash dividends. Liaise with local market agents overseas (Euroclear & Clearstream) Must be knowledgeable of tax treaties on foreign dividends and local market processing-Must be familiar with dividend processing related to securities lending and ADR/ORD conversions-Must be familiar with dividend claim processing for International stock borrow/loan contracts-Back-up to other departmental members and security master/static data setup responsibilities.-Candidate must have at least 5 or more years experience relating to the processing of cash and stock dividends and corporate actions events. Must be well aware of time restrictions and local market practices-Must have knowledge of DTCC and the associated functionality that pertains to dividends and corporate actions elections. Knowledge of FIS Phase3 and XCITEK XSP applications beneficial-Extensive verbal and electronic correspondences as many of our clients are based outside of the U.S.-Must be a self-starter, with excellent problem solving skills and be able to work under pressure.-Possess strong written/oral communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint.-Knowledge of Sungard FIS /Phase3 processing system beneficial.Management and Reporting-Reporting to management of positions in inventory and operational suspense account.-Daily reporting of aged outstanding dividends payments-Reporting on exposure on voluntary offerings .Qualifications/Education RequiredFINRA Series 99 (Desired)Experience Required:5 or more years' experience relating to domestic fixed income trade support/ P&S (Essential)Knowledge of FIS Phase3 system & STN (Desired)Skills & Knowledge Requirements:General knowledge of the following systems: DTCC, Fed-wire, Euro clear (Essential)-Knowledge of Sungard/Phase3 processing system (Desired)
