Join the team!Pacific West Academy (PWA) is seeking a fulltime instructor to assist our training program.Pacific West Academy's experienced team is comprised of security, armed forces, and law enforcement veterans who have combined decades of knowledge and training from various working roles, both locally and internationally, to create one of the most cutting-edge, tailor-made training programs available. Pacific West Academy's mission is to educate and train individuals to be tactically and technically proficient in the skills required to work effectively in the Close Protection industry.PWA is accredited by ACCET approved by the department of Education.Approved by the California State Approving Agency for Veterans Education (CSAAVE)Approved by the CA Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE)Roles and Responsibilities:Deliver curriculum in a professional manner.Assist with curriculum development.Assist with practical exercises at our off-site training facilities.Assist with live fire range training evolutions.Provide logistical support for training evolutions.Ability to supplement compensation thorough Executive Protection details with parent company.Minimum Requirements:8+ years of experience in either the military, law enforcement or security industry (preferably armed).Prior experience as an instructor.Tactically proficient in pistol application.Basic First-Aid training.Must have current CA BSIS Guard Card or the ability to acquire one within the first 60 days of employmentIn-depth understanding of security operations.Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.Valid Driver's License.No felonies or criminal convictions.Desired Qualifications:10+ years of experience in either military, law enforcement or security industry with 2 years in a close protection role.Experience as a security operations instructor.In-depth knowledge of the security industry and security operations (government, corporate, residential, executive protection etc.)Pistol Instructor qualifications (USCCA/ NRA).Advanced medical training (EMT, Medic, Corpsman).Advanced combatives/ martial arts experience.Bachelor's degree.Compensation:$80k-$100k Annual Salary dependent on experience and qualifications.401KMedical and DentalPTO
