What World Course IsThe World Course at Avenues draws on the disciplines of history and the social sciences to help students understand the challenges and opportunities of the world around them--and the context for those challenges. It is uniquely focused on preparing future leaders to tackle global-scale problems. A core academic program at Avenues, the World Course asks students to understand the world through a variety of lenses. Students examine the cultures, behaviors, successes, and conflicts among and between people, and explore the root causes and results of human interactions with other humans, with ideas, and with the environment.What You'll DoWorld Course teachers guide students to become informed, skilled, and empathetic agents of change. This role is compensated on a salary basis prorated for the duration of the assignment. If hired for this position, the annual compensation range is $72,000- $110,000 depending on skills and experience. Leave positions for a duration of less than 3 months are not benefits eligible.
