Senior Accountant

LHH (formerly known as Parker + Lynch) has been engaged in the search for a Senior Corporate Accountant with a large, privately held company headquartered in the Johnson County area. This is a great opportunity for someone coming straight out of public accounting or someone who has a few years of corporate accounting experience. The role is open due to an internal promotion and will report to the Assistant Controller.This company offers a competitive base salary, above market annual bonus, and the opportunity to have a hybrid work schedule.Responsibilities will include:Preparation and posting of month end journal entriesPreparation and review of account reconciliations and analysisPreparation and review of monthly closing bindersPreparation of deliverables for internal or external audit as neededProvide support for budgeting, forecasting and ad hoc analysis as neededIdentify and implement process improvementsComplete special projects and other similar accounting dutiesQualifications:Bachelor's degree in AccountingCPA preferred, but not required2-5 years public accounting or corporate accounting experienceProficiency in Microsoft Office, especially ExcelStrong communicator and professional demeanor
